Philadelphia Citywide Alpha Kick-off

The Philly Citywide Alpha Kick-off on Tuesday July 8, 2025 at New Covenant Church of Philadelphia offers an opportunity to explore what Alpha is and how it might impact our city and metro area when we launch our Alphas at the same time. A coordinated Alpha launch allows participating churches to come together for joint training, unified prayer and worship nights to intercede for Philadelphia and their individual Alphas, coordinated promotion, and a joint Holy Spirit Day.

If you’re new to Alpha, Alpha is a multi-week dinner series that offers guests a safe space to explore the difficult questions of life, faith, and meaning. Each week includes a meal—to extend hospitality, a 25-minute video that unpacks one of the ten most-asked questions people have when considering the claims of Jesus, and time for discussion—where your guests get to consider what they think they believe in response to what they’ve just heard. Experienced slowly over several weeks, guests have time to deconstruct their beliefs and reconstruct their faith with Jesus at the center. The high point of every Alpha is the Holy Spirit Day, where guests have an opportunity to receive Jesus as savior and experience an infilling of the Holy Spirit. All the resources needed to run Alpha can be downloaded and are offered 100% free of charge.
